Xerion cried softly to herself as she watched the shuttle disappear. She felt as if her life were falling apart at that moment. After composing herself she turned and signaled for two guards to come and take the dead man away. Before leaving the site, Xerion looked once more to the sky’s. “I love you, Trip,” she whispered. “I will never forget you.” ~~~~~ Ten years later (Two hours Real Time) Trip entered Engineering to a lot of clapping and cheering and pats on the back. He had missed Enterprise, but even more he missed the girl he had to leave behind. Trip busied himself with his work, trying to forget her, but everything he did reminded himself of her. He remembered when they first kissed, one week after he had first arrived on the planet. Trip remembered thinking that he’d like to actually settle down there and marry Xerion, but then he thought of his duty’s to Enterprise and knew that settling down was impossible. As Trip bent to take a quick reading of the warp core, he felt a small jab in his side. At first he ignored it then the pain became so intense it forced him to stop. Trip put a hand to his side and unzipped the pocket. He took the black crystal out of his pocket. The same black crystal that Ceron had given him. Right then he knew he had made a mistake leaving Xerion behind. When Trip Tucker realizes a mistake he corrects it. Trip knew what he had to do. He had to go back and get her.
