Chapter Four

The priest looked at them both.

“I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride,” he said.

Trip leaned over and promptly landed a kiss on Xerion’s lips.

Everyone clapped and cheered.

Trip took his new wife out of the temple.

“Have you thought about it?” he asked.

She nodded.

Last night Trip had asked her if she would come back with him to his time. She had told him she needed to think about it.

“Yes. I have made my decision. I will come back with you.”

Trip’s smile widened and he kissed her again.

“Sir. There’s a vessel approaching,” Lieutenant Malcolm Reed reported.

Jon nodded.

“It’s the cell-ship,” Malcolm said.

“Bring it in,” Jon said.

Malcolm nodded and attached the grappler to the cell-ship.

After guiding the cell-ship and docking it, Jon and Malcolm headed down to Launch Bay 2.

“I did what I had to do!” Trip said. “I couldn’t leave her!”

“Trip, you endangered the crew and yourself by doing this,” Jon said. “Don’t you ever think before you act?”

Trip didn’t answer.

Xerion stood beside Trip, fanning herself.

“I don’t feel so good,” she said to Trip.

Trip turned around and caught his wife as she fainted.

“We’ll talk about this later,” Jon said.

Trip nodded and rushed his wife to sickbay.

NOOOOOO!!!! wifey can't faint :'( not just after she and Trip got back together like i'd hoped. though now there ages are closer.

gr8 two chapters, i'm really enjoying this and the sequal makes up for the short ending in the first story.
